SPEND A DAY SIGHT CASTING BIG FISH IN SKINNY WATER!

Although most of the fish we catch are carp (in the 5-10 pound range) other species offer a change of pace. Freshwater drum cruise the flats in early summer and will readily hit a fly. Bass and catfish also patrol the area.

Most fishing is with 5-6 weight outfits, and 6 to 10 pound test leaders. Casting is quick and accurate - sight fishing at its best. Athough the casts are not long (20-40 feet), you need to be able to cast accurately with a minimum of false casts. Flies tend to be small bonefish patterns and nymphs. Hoppers are used in late summer with great success.

Polarized sunglasses are a must. You have to see the fish in order to catch them. Also, a good, comfortable wading shoe is critical. We cover MILES of flats in a single day.
